First Cousins

Natalie got to meet her first cousin Ashley this last weekend also. Ashley was born November 18, 2005 so is a bit older than Natalie. Ashley lives in Nebraska with her parents Aunt Mya and Uncle John. We hope that this is just one of many pictures of them together over the years.

Natalie with Great Grandpa

Here is a picture of Natalie with her Great Grandpa Harry. I love this picture, it was one of my favorites from this last weekend. Great Grandpa is mostly blind because of his macular degeneration, so while he couldn't see Natalie very well, she was looking at him intently. He loved meeting his Great Grandaughter!!

Back Home

What a weekend for Natalie! We went to Nebraska to visit family and friends over the last three days. We flew out early Friday morning and Natalie did great. She slept all the way to the airport and through half of the flight then had a bottle that she finished as we landed. Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Rich picked us up at the airport and were happy to see her. Then we headed to York to visit Grandpa and Grandma's workplaces. Then on to both Great Grandparents' houses. It was a big day and Natalie did great! Saturday Natalie got to meet her Great Aunt Karen and Great Uncle Ken, Aunt Mya, Uncle John and cousin Ashley. Grandpa Paul came to visit from Kansas also with Jen, Adam and Austin. She also got to spend more time with her Great Grandparents also. That night, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat with Uncle John and Aunt Mya so Grandpa and Grandma got a chance to babysit. Sunday we headed to Lincoln to meet Mommy and Daddy's friends Tim, Heidi and Evan, then onto Omaha to meet Kevin, Angie, Aaron and Andrew. Then we drove Daddy's new car back to Chicago. It was a long drive but Natalie slept most of the way so it was a good trip. Today we had Gymboree class again and are working on getting Natalie back to her schedule. I will post some pictures from our trip later.

Eight Weeks Old

Since Natalie was two weeks old, we have been taking a picture of her with her teddy bear to watch how she is growing. Here is her eight week picture (yellow sleeper) and her two week picture (pink/white sleeper) so you can see how she has changed. I will start posting them weekly now to share with everyone.

Curly Hair

I finally took a picture of Natalie with her hair wet and unbrushed. You can really see her curls that way!! Looks like she may have gotten at least one thing from Mommy.

Another Monday...

Today Mommy and Natalie went to Gymboree class. We sang some songs and played with finger puppets. Natalie did really well with watching the finger puppets and following them with her eyes. We got a butterfly (which Natalie loves!!) and a spider finger puppet last week to play with at home. This week we also picked up a monkey and a frog to add to our collection. After class, Natalie was so tired that she slept while Mommy was at the grocery store and took a nap once we got home.

Road Trip

Today was Natalie's first big trip. We drove to Peotone, IL to visit our friends Shaun and Kathy. It was about an hour each way and she slept for pretty much the whole trip. She was also very happy while we were there so they got to see some of her smiles!

Playtime!

Natalie was awake and happy after eating this morning so I put her on her playmat for a while. She loves the red bird as you can see! The rattle and mirror are also fun for her now. She has been much more alert and responsive now which has been a lot of fun for Mommy and Daddy.
